Take a candle, two fireproof bowls of the same size (or at least the same top surface perimeter), and a curious child. Secure the candle to the bottom of one of the bowls and light it up. Now, carefully place the second bowl precisely on top of the first one (face down), so that the candle's oxygen supply is stopped.
What happens? Do you get the expression seen in this photo?... :-)
